Jim Lytle, a full-time professional designer for the last 27 years, has also been a certified car nut for most of his life. Having a restored muscle car that he drags around the midwest, Jim became excited about the realistic flame jobs seen on popular television shows and on hot rods at the shows he attended.
After buying a newer airbrush and some House of Kolor paint, Jim has developed a style that has become popular on the show circuit. The following examples are some of the styles and applications he's developed since the beginning of 2006.
Keep checking back, as new jobs are documented we'll add them to the web site. A featured job is a 1987 Honda Scooter that Jim applied his realistic flames. Other examples are headlight buckets, a Ram SRT 10 Hood and Scoop, and a mini DC Cooler.
Jim's work can also be seen at Mopar (Chrysler) and GoodGuys shows in the midwest (if not in a booth on the midway, look for a triple black Plymouth Duster 340). He can be reached at the above phone numbers and also by emailing him at: jim@burningbrushes.com
